PP (polipropilene
PP (polypropylene):
  • Polyolefin with a good shock and mechanical resistance;
  • Good flowability and low moisture absorption;
  • Range of use from 0C to +110C depending on the type;
  • Resistant to: weak inorganic acids, alkaline solutions, alcohol, and certain oils.

PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate):
  • High mechanical resilience depending on the inorganic filler;
  • Good flowability and shrinkage;
  • Range of use up to +200C (short time), or up to +120C (long time);
  • Resistant to: weak acids, alkaline solutions, oils, greases, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and carbon tetrachloride.

PP (polipropilene
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate):
  • Good mechanical characteristics, varying depending on the crystallinity;
  • Good flowability and permanence;
  • Range of use up to +170C (short time), or up to +120C (long time);
  • Resistant to: weak acids, alkaline solutions, oils, greases, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and carbon tetrachloride.

PP (polipropilene
PLA (Polylactic acid):
  • Compostable biopolymer;
  • Low heat resistance, except for certain compounds with additives;
  • Chemically and physically resistant to: degradation and aliphatic molecules (oil). With similar characteristics to PP, PE, PS.

PE (polietilene)
PE (Polyethylene):
  • Polyolefin with a good shock resistance;
  • Mechanical properties depend on the crystallinity;
  • Flexible (LD) or rigid (HD) depending on the type;
  • Good flowability and low moisture absorption;
  • Range of use from -40C to +80C depending on the type;
  • Resistant to: acids, alkaline solutions, alcohol, sodium chloride solutions, esters, oil.

PS (polistirene)
PS (Polystyrene):
  • Good shock resistance, discrete hardness and mechanical resistance;
  • Low flowability and moisture absorption;
  • Range of use from -40C to +70C;
  • Resistant to: only under certain conditions to acids and alkalis.

ABS (Acrilonitrile-butadiene-stirene)
ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene):
  • Rigid and resistant also at low temperatures;
  • High hardness with a good scratch resistance;
  • Low flowability and moisture absorption;
  • Range of use from -40C to +80C;
  • Resistant to: only under certain conditions to acids and alkalis.

PMMA (Polimetilmetacrilato)
PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate):
  • Excellent transparency, hardness, rigidity, and resistance to tension and scratching;
  • Low flowability and shock resistance;
  • Good moisture absorption;
  • Good resistance at low temperatures. Maximum usage temperature +60C;
  • Resistant to: aliphatic hydrocarbons, acids, aqueous alkaline solutions, greases, alcohol up to 30%. Weatherproof and good resistance to light and aging.

PA6 e PA66 (poliammidi)
PA6 and PA66 (Polyamides):
  • Good shock and mechanical resistance;
  • Good flowability but high moisture absorption;
  • Fragility/cold brittleness at -40C. Maximum range of use from +80C to +120C depending on the type;
  • Resistant to: aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, petrol, oils, greases, esters, ketones, ethers, chlorinated hydrocarbons, weak alkaline solutions;
  • Those characteristics are significantly influenced by the crystallinity and by the moisture absorption.

POM (Poliacetalica)
POM (Polyacetal):
  • High mechanical resistance and rigidity with good resistance at low temperatures;
  • Good recovery from creep and excellent flowability, with no moisture absorption. Range of use from -40C to +80C;
  • Resistant to alcohol, aldehydes, esters, ethers, ketones, petrol, mineral oil, mild/weak alkaline solutions, and weak acids. Good resistance to hydrolysis.

PC (policarbonato)
PC (Polycarbonate):
  • Excellent transparency and high shock resistance;
  • High mechanical resistance;
  • Low flowability and moisture absorption;
  • Range of use from -150C to +130C (long time), or up to +150C (short time) depending on the type;
  • Resistant to: diluted mineral acids, saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, petrol, greases, oils, water, alcohols, and to UV depending on the type.
